This simple wooden table was meant to be used by the accountant when account books were long narrow books. The top portion is slanted to facilitate writing ease, with a flat plank containing two recesses to hold ink pots and a horizontal recess to hold writing quills or pens. This simple table has a set of hinges which open into the inner compartment, it’s 3 inches deep and 24 inches long. All these wooden items dated more than 100 years are now being carefully repaired and varnished to their original glory.
